Terms of Service / Privacy Policy

Terms of Service
1. Acceptance. By using this site (the Media Room, Paranor dashboard, Agent API, and related pages), you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy below. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of service. This product provides a creator dashboard (“Paranor”) to manage content (e.g. from Substack and other RSS feeds), a public “Media Room” (articles, summaries, guest kit), and a machine-readable Agent API for tools and automation. Access to Paranor is by sign-in only (admin or read-only demo). The service is in active development; features and behavior may change.
3. Access and accounts. Public areas (Media Room, Agent API) are available without an account. Paranor access requires sign-in: either credentials set by the account owner (admin) or the read-only demo (email and opt-in). You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential. The operator may suspend or terminate access for abuse or violation of these terms.
4. Acceptable use. You may not use the service to violate law, infringe others’ rights, or abuse the systems (e.g. scraping beyond normal use, attempting to access areas you are not authorized to use). Demo access is read-only; do not attempt to bypass that restriction.
5. Disclaimers. The service depends on third parties (e.g. Substack, RSS feeds, Neon database, optional OpenAI for summaries). We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of ingested content, or that optional features (e.g. GPT-generated summaries) will always be available. Content in the Media Room and API is derived from sources the operator configures; we do not warrant that content is complete or error-free. Use at your own risk.
6. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator and hosting providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or reliance on content. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Changes. These terms may be updated. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be noted on this page or via a notice on the site.
8. General. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. The operator may assign these terms; you may not. Governing law and venue are determined by the operator’s jurisdiction.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the site: visitors to the public Media Room, users of the Agent API, demo sign-ins, and the account owner (admin) using Paranor.
Information we collect. (1) Session data: When you sign in (admin or demo), we store session data (e.g. role, identifier) to maintain your access; this is handled by NextAuth and may use cookies. (2) Demo sign-in: If you use the read-only demo, we collect the email and opt-in you provide; this may be stored in the application database (e.g. for the operator to see demo usage). (3) Creator data: Content and settings you add in Paranor (articles cache, profile, timeline, feeds, etc.) are stored in the application database. (4) Public and API access: Viewing the Media Room or calling the Agent API does not require sign-in; we may log requests in the normal course of hosting (e.g. server logs).
How we use it. Session data is used to enforce access (admin vs demo). Demo email and opt-in are used to provide the demo and for the operator to understand demo usage. Creator data is used to run the Media Room and Agent API. We do not sell your personal information. We may use aggregated or anonymized data for operation and improvement.
Storage and third parties. Data is stored on the hosting infrastructure (e.g. Vercel) and in the application database (e.g. Neon). Optional features may send data to third-party services (e.g. OpenAI for summaries when configured). Those providers have their own privacy policies. We do not control Substack or other RSS sources; their privacy practices apply to content originating there.
Cookies and similar. The site uses session cookies (and similar mechanisms) for sign-in. These are necessary for authenticated access. You can disable cookies in your browser, but sign-in and dashboard access may not work.
Retention. Session data is retained for the duration of your session and as needed for security. Demo sign-in records and creator data are retained as long as the service operates or as the operator determines. You may request deletion of data associated with your demo sign-in; contact the operator (e.g. via the site or profile) for requests.
Security. We use standard measures (e.g. HTTPS, secure session handling, env-based secrets) to protect data. No system is completely secure; you use the service at your own risk.
Changes. This Privacy Policy may be updated. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date at the top applies to both Terms and Privacy.
Contact. For questions about these Terms or this Privacy Policy, contact the operator through the contact information provided on the site or in the Media Room / Paranor profile.
